During winter, the number of hours of darkness is at its greatest and it is important that you are seen in busy environments. Do you get to and from work in the dark? Then we have some advice for you who are thinking about how reflective clothing can increase your visibility in traffic.  There are a number of different uses and occasions when visibility is important. Below we have listed advice to reduce the risk of traffic accidents.

Reflectors, clothes and traffic

For example, it may be important for motorists to see road workers from afar in order to adjust the car's speed when passing. The car's headlights give off a very strong light that aims to make any road obstacles visible to the driver in good time. Reflective materials can lead to the driver detecting road obstacles or you as a pedestrian earlier and thus reacting in good time to prevent a traffic accident. The more and bigger reflectors - the clearer and earlier you are visible!

Reflectors worn at waist height are best seen. The car's headlights are at their strongest at a height of approximately one meter, it is in this area that we recommend you wear at least one reflective garment or accessory.

When it's dark outside, there are colors that stand out a little more than others. Garments in fluorescent colors such as yellow, orange and red are best seen and, according to EU directives, are the only approved warning garments for workplaces. Dark colors are the worst seen as they blend into the dark surroundings.
